Deposits and paid add-ons

On the Pro plan you can take a deposit instead of the full price, and offer paid extras a customer adds when booking. Both are set per product and charged on your normal Shopify checkout.

Take a deposit

On a product under Products, set a deposit percentage. The customer pays that share at checkout, and the balance is recorded against the booking and shown on their confirmation and reminder emails and on your admin calendar. You collect the balance at the booking. Leave the deposit at zero to charge in full. If you sell in multiple currencies with Shopify Markets, the deposit share and add-on prices convert to the customer currency at checkout automatically.

Offer paid add-ons

  1. Add an extra. On the product, add an add-on with a name, a price and a maximum quantity, for example a lighting kit or cleaning.
  2. Customer picks it. When booking, the customer chooses how many of each extra to add. The running total shows the extras.
  3. Charged in the same order. The extras are priced from your settings, never the browser, and are charged in the same Shopify order as the booking.

Good to know

Which plan has deposits and add-ons?

Both are on the Pro plan. Deposits are a percentage per product; add-ons are optional paid extras per product.

How is the deposit balance collected?

The balance is recorded and shown on the customer emails and your calendar. You collect it at the booking; Booker does not auto-charge the remainder.
