How to sell time slots on Shopify

Selling time slots, rather than physical stock, needs a calendar and clash protection. Booker turns a Shopify product into a set of bookable time slots that customers pick and pay for at checkout. Here is how to sell slots on your store.

Step by step.

1

Decide your slot length

Set the length of one slot, for example 30 or 60 minutes, and the price. This becomes the unit customers book.

2

Turn a product into slots

Create a product and enable booking in Booker. The product now sells time on a calendar instead of a fixed quantity of stock.

3

Show the calendar

Add the Booker calendar block to the product page so customers see open slots and pick one that suits them.

4

Limit when slots are offered

Set opening hours, a lead time and blocked dates so only the slots you want to sell are available.

5

Sell and track

Each slot is held at add to cart, paid at checkout, and blocked once sold, and every booking lands on your admin calendar.

Good to know.

Can I set a maximum number of slots per booking?

Yes. You can cap how many slots one customer books at once, so a single order cannot take the whole day.

Can different slots have different prices?

Yes, on the Pro plan. Pricing tiers let the same slot sell at different rates, and the customer picks which applies.

Do sold slots disappear from the calendar?

Yes. A sold slot is blocked immediately on the storefront and the admin calendar, so it is never sold twice.
