How to rent out a meeting room on Shopify

You can let people book and pay for a meeting room on Shopify by the hour or day. Booker adds live availability to the room page and keeps bookings from overlapping. Here is how to set up meeting room hire.

Step by step.

1

Set lengths and prices

Choose whether the room books by the hour or in longer blocks, and set a rate for each length that suits your meetings.

2

List each room

Create a product per meeting room for separate hours, or on the Pro plan add a room per space under one product so each has its own rate.

3

Add the booking calendar

Put the Booker calendar block on the room page so people can see free times and book the slot they need.

4

Set your opening hours

Set the hours each room is available per weekday and block out any dates it is in use, so only real availability shows.

5

Manage it from one place

Bookings are held at add to cart, paid at checkout, and shown on one admin calendar you can sync to Google Calendar for your team on the Starter and Pro plans.

Good to know.

Can I rent several meeting rooms?

Yes, on the Pro plan. Each room is its own bookable space with its own rate, and people can book more than one at once.

Can I set different hours per room?

Different hours need a separate product per room (rooms within one product share its hours). On the Pro plan, give each product its own weekly hours and closed dates.

Is payment taken up front?

Yes. Customers pay at your Shopify checkout when they book the room, in full on any plan, or on the Pro plan as a deposit percentage with the balance collected manually at the booking.

Ready to take your first booking?

Install Booker, set up a product, add the calendar, and you are live.
